As part of the CARES community out-reach program, residents of the Gloria Dei Towers Senior Community recently held a pepper and egg sandwich fundraiser to help support the Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House. Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House provides services for veterans while they undergo treatment for serious health issues at the local VA hospital. The organization also provides shelter for homeless veterans in their time of need. Gloria Dei Towers Senior Community is located at 770 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley, PA. The community provides 175 efficiency and one-bedroom apartments for residents 62 and older and is a non-profit, HUD subsidized facility for low income residents.

On Wednesday, June 27th, a formal check presentation ceremony was held at the Towers community. Towers residents Vendy Ermack and Helen Morgenstern presented a check for $400 to Bill Cole, Treasurer of the Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House. Also attending the presentation were Vince Dattilo, CEO of Gloria Dei Senior Communities, Rich Kozub, Sr., Vice President and Kathleen O’Brien, Towers Assistant Administrator. Following the check presentation, Bill Cole presented a Certificate of Recognition to the Towers residents.
