No, HUD does not permit any kind of entry or processing fee to be charged at any time. When residents first move in they will be expected to pay the first month’s rent and a Security Deposit of no more than $100.00 and not less than $50.00.
No, the remaining person does not have to relocate to an efficiency unit. The only reason that person would be transferred is if the remaining resident requests that they move to a smaller unit, otherwise he or she will be permitted to stay in their existing apartment.
Our Tenant Selection Plan, which is mandated and approved by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), states that one-bedroom apartments are offered only to two-person households on the waiting list.
